Through characterization of the composite with SEM-EDS mapping, the composite exhibited a uniform mixture of LAGP and PVDF-HFP. The enhancement of the ionic conductivity can be attributed to two factors: the increase in relative density by incorporating polymers, and the formation of an ionic conducting network with the addition of liquid electrolyte. More recently, Clive's group improved the ionic conductivity of the LAGP electrolyte by adding Li-salt (Li-TFSI) into the pellet, resulting in a conductivity of 5 × 10−5 S cm−1 at room temperature [91].
