The required information for a data collection run consists of: The operator nameNB: This is used for documentation purposes only. Enter the operator’s name (or initials) in the box provided. The run descriptionNB: This is used for documentation purposes only. Enter descriptive information about the run in the box provided.The description can have multiple lines: use Ctrl-Enter to start a new line. The description is limited to a total of 2000 characters, or about 400 words of plain text. The starting position for the run Whether the left or right rail is being measuredNB: The Green arrow indicates which rail is to be measured e.g. in Figure 4 this is te right rail. Whether position will increase or decrease over the runNB: The Green arrow indicates the direction selected for the next run e.g. in Figure 4the distance is increasing. The distance of the sensor from the gauge face of the rail. This distance can be changed by the operator; the operator should check to ensure that the sensormeasures where required and adjust the position accordingly; this is described in the Operating Manual.
