abstract<br>Cementation of dental cement is the key to indirect restoration in prosthodontics. As a kind of adhesive repair material, resin cement is widely used in daily repair clinical treatment because of its excellent bonding effect, high mechanical strength and aesthetic effect. In this paper, the research progress and application of resin cement on the market are reviewed. The historical progress, classification and characteristics of resin cement are summarized. The bonding mechanism, clinical application and matters needing attention of resin cement are systematically summarized.
