All the design activities stated above are organized in several functional subsys- tems, namely parting, feeding, cooling, ejection, local tools, and standard component subsystems. These subsystems are used to generate the functional mould components including the core, cavity and their inserts, ejection devices, local tools and actuatingmechanisms, the cooling circuit, bubbler system, and to select the ancillary com- ponents including guide bushes and guide pillars, leader pins, fastening parts, etc. Among all these functional components, they are classified into standard and non- standard components that can be designed using the above functional subsystems. The initial mould design is usually modified based on the analysis results of com- mercial moulding analysis software such as MoldFlow or C-MOLD. The main functions of the above subsystems are as follows.
