It is similar to the CP genome of other oleraceae. The DNA G + C contents of LSC, SSC, IR and whole genome were 36.49, 32.41, 43.3 and 38.36 mol%, respectively, which were similar to those of other species in Nerium family. DNA G + C content is an important index to judge the genetic relationship of Nerium oleracea, and the cpDNA G + C content of Nerium indicum is similar to other species of Apocynaceae [48-53]. The content of DNA G + C in IR region is higher than that in other regions (LSC, SSC); this phenomenon is also common in other plants [54-56]. The relatively high DNA G + C content in IR region was mainly attributed to rRNA gene and tRNA gene [57,58].<br>
