As atypicalpreparationprocedure,silicafume(SiO2Z97.0%,
r1 μm) andphenolicresinpowders(Z99.0wt%, o80 μm) were
used assiliconandcarbonsources(1:4molratioofSitoC),
respectively. AnalyticalreagentgradeNaCl(Z99.5wt%)andNaF
(Z98.0wt%)wereemployedasmoltensalt.Theeffectsofweight
ratios ofNaF/NaCl(0.5:10,1:10,2:10and3:10)andsaltstoreactants
(SiO2 and C)(1:1,3:1,5:1and7:1)onthepreparationofSiCNWS
were investigated.Themixedsaltsandreactantswereplacedintoa
graphite cruciblecoveredwithalidandheatedat1300–1500 1C for
4 h ina flow argonatmosphere(Z99.99%).Aftercoolingtoroom
temperature, thepreparedproductswerewashedrepeatedlywithhot
distilled waterand filteredtoremovetheresidualsalts.Theresultant
samples weredriedat100 1C for24h,andheatedinairat700 1C for
3 htoremovetheresidualcarbon.
