Abstract: Experimenle- stuures were Tale on reinforcedconcrete beams in atmosphere, pure water and salt water andthe variation of corrosion potential due to the action of staticand cyclic loadings was determined which can be used toidentify the corrosion progress of reinforcement. It is shownthat environment and loading action influence the corrosionof reinforcement significantly and interactively. Corrosionrate of reinforcement in salt water is higher than that in purewater . And corrosion on reinforcement subjected to fatigueload is faster than that subjected to static load with sameamplitude. Consequently, to enhance the durability ofstructures it is important to restrain and alleviating theinteraction of environment and loading condition.
