What is single oil wedge sliding bearing?<br>Single oil wedge sliding bearing refers to the bearing with only one oil wedge producing oil film pressure.<br>When this kind of bearing works, if the journal deviates from the balance position due to some minor interference, making it difficult to automatically restore to the original balance position, then the journal will make a new regular or irregular movement, which is called bearing instability.<br>In order to improve the working stability and rotating accuracy of bearings, bearings are often made into multi wedge shape. Compared with single wedge bearings, multi wedge bearings have good stability and high rotating accuracy, but low bearing capacity and large friction loss. Its bearing capacity is equal to the vector sum of oil film forces in each wedge.<br>Features of single oil wedge sliding bearing:<br>The bearing capacity is large, but the stability is poor (the journal is easy to deviate from the balance position under the action of external interference force). Therefore, the multi wedge sliding bearing features good stability, slightly low bearing capacity, and bearing capacity equal to the bearing capacity vector of each oil wedge.<br>What is a multi wedge sliding bearing?<br>There are three or more supporting bearings with inner surface cast with Ba alloy tiles. The tiles are evenly distributed along the outer circumference of the shaft diameter, and the tiles can swing in place on the structure. Many oil wedges can be formed in operation. Such bearings are called multi oil wedge bearings.<br>The multi oil wedge bearing has the following characteristics:<br>(1) It has good anti vibration performance and stable operation, which can reduce the vibration hazard of rotor caused by imbalance or processing and installation error;<br>(2) Under different loads, the eccentricity of the journal in the multi oil wedge bearing is much smaller than that of the common bearing, which ensures the rotor to be neutral;<br>(3) When the load and speed change, the pad can automatically adjust the position to ensure the best lubricating oil wedge, so the temperature rise is not high.<br>Multi wedge sliding bearing type:<br>Multi oil wedge sliding bearing can be divided into elliptical bearing, fixed three oil wedge bearing and tilting multi oil wedge bearing. The fixed bearing and elliptical bearing are of two-way rotation, double oil wedges, and the misplaced bearing is of one-way rotation?; the tilting bearing is used to adjust the clearance between the bearing bush and the shaft neck, with good stability, but its bearing capacity is lower than that of the fixed bearing.<br>(a) It is an elliptical bearing. When working, it can form two dynamic oil films, which is helpful to improve the stability. The processing of this kind of bearing is also relatively easy. Put a certain thickness of gasket on the split surface of the bearing, boring according to the circle, and then remove the gasket. The upper and lower closure is the elliptical bearing.<br>(b) For the fixed three oil wedge bearing, three dynamic oil films can be formed during operation, which improves the rotation accuracy and stability. The fixed three oil wedge bearing only allows the journal to rotate in a fixed direction.<br>(c) It is a tilting pad multi oil wedge bearing. The bearing bush is composed of more than three (usually odd) fan-shaped blocks. The bearing bush is supported by screws with ball end. When the bearing rotates in one direction, the fulcrum is not placed in the middle of the bearing bush, but all of them are inclined to the same side of NSK bearing. With the change of operation conditions, the inclination of the bearing bush can be automatically adjusted to adapt to different loads, rotating speeds, elastic deformation and deflection of the shaft, and establish the state of liquid friction
