The AGs are paired endocrine glands that produce hormonessuch as epinephrine, norepinephrine, androgens, estrogens, aldosterone, and cortisol. They are also the site of benign andmalignant tumors that can lead to Cushing’s syndrome, Connsyndrome, virilization, and feminization.1 Radical adrenalectomyis traditionally performed by conventional open surgery. However, since its initial description in 1992, laparoscopic adrenalectomyhas expanded significantly for the resection of functional adrenaltumors and incidentalomas smaller than 8–10 cm.2,3 The advantagesof a laparoscopic approach include a better cosmetic result, shorterrecovery time, and significantly less pain, while it may cause shortersurvival, less complete removal of the tumor, and shorter timeto and a greater chance of the tumor returning.
