We see PCC and perceiving the group as TG as complementary concepts, which together provide a more comprehensive view of how the individual perceives the ingroup on a temporal dimension. While perceiving the group as TG focuses on perceptions of who is included in the group (e.g., the group also includes past and future generations), PCC addresses perceptions of continuity of the culture and history of the group (e.g., the culture of the group has always remained the same).
