The transmission of health information through network media has the characteristics of wide coverage and fast transmission speed, but it has certain limitations to the formation of college students' healthy behavior. Peer education refers to sharing information, values and behaviors among people with similar social status or age, taking the educated person as the center, and exerting the role of peer influence, which is a kind of health education which is more participatory and flexible. Li Ping and others analyzed the health literacy of college students in Hunan Province and found that 61.4% of them obtained health information through classmates and friends, which laid the foundation for the implementation of peer education. Yao Qin put forward in the discussion of the intervention approach of college students' health literacy, college students are more and more influenced by the pressure and mutual influence of classmates and friends' partners, and can try to improve the health literacy level of college students through peer education, but so far, the relevant research on the application of peer education to the health literacy intervention of college students is still less.
