Primary school is the starting stage of children, and the lower grade is an important turning point in this starting stage, which plays an important role in children's life development. Therefore, the cultivation of mathematical ability in this stage is particularly important. Because of its strong logic and sense of space, mathematics learning in the lower grade of primary school has some challenges. During kindergarten, children mainly learn skills and knowledge through games, which also conforms to the development law of children's thinking, so games also have a natural attraction for the students who just entered primary school. This study discusses the application strategies of mathematics educational games in primary school mathematics teaching from five aspects. The first part of the introduction introduces the origin, significance, research methods, research status at home and abroad, research ideas and innovation. In the second part, the definition and characteristics of mathematical puzzle games are summarized. The third part analyzes the current situation of mathematics education in the lower grade of primary school, which provides a theoretical basis for the following application strategies. The fourth part elaborates the application strategies of mathematics games in the mathematics teaching in the lower grade of primary school, and puts forward five application strategies, which are to take different games for children at different stages; create scenarios, set up mathematics games area; use mathematics games teaching aids to play games; design mathematics games in combination with the actual life; guide the family Long term use of mathematics educational games to help children.
