In recent years, soil-borne diseases such as Fusarium wilt of continuous cropping black wax gourd were serious in Guangxi, which seriously affected the survival rate of wax gourd plants and directly led to a large number of production cuts of black wax gourd. Grafting and cultivation of wax gourd with pumpkin as stock has become a common cultivation method. the disease resistance of wax gourd is improved by utilizing the resistance of pumpkin root to fusarium wilt, and the yield of wax gourd is improved by utilizing the strong root system of pumpkin to absorb nutrition and water, which can achieve good effect of disease resistance and yield increase. Lianggenyun et al. grafted wax gourd on the pumpkin rootstock No.1 of Chuanzhen, and the results showed that the leaf length and width of wax gourd were increased, the leaf area was enlarged, and the plant stem diameter and wax gourd yield were significantly increased after grafting. The study on the quality of wax gourd with black skin by Xie et al. showed that the VC and soluble solid content of wax gourd after grafting were significantly increased.
