Right after we solved the server’s problem, we jumped to analyzing the situation about the prices of extending contracts. Recently we had quite a lot of topics about the wrong average salary for players and coaches. As average salary is used to calculate salaries for new talents or salaries for extending contracts, we need to fix this issue. The problem is because salaries are calculated based on all similar players (including those who came from scouts or early contract extensions). In many cases the average salary was very different from the salary that players would get in the market (sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller). This leads to situations where sometimes extension prices are very different from the real value in the market. New mid-level talents from scouts often have bigger salaries compared to their market value. At the same time TOP level players extend contracts for a few times smaller salary compared to their market value. From the next season we plan to make these changes:Update the method on how the average salary is calculated. It will be calculated from similar market offers in the last 5 seasons (by age, RT and potential). So basically, we will have not an “average salary”, but an “average market value”.In very rare cases when there are not enough examples in market history, we will use formula: minimum salary x 2This update will not affect how minimum salary is calculated.Update early extension prices for franchise players. One of the most important things is to help teams keep their franchise players. The extension price for franchise players will be calculated based on the minimum salary (not on the average salary). Some users used to buy expensive players and then use an early extension option, thus extending the player's contract much cheaper. From now, early extension salary will not be smaller than the current player’s salary. However there will be one exception - if the team has the “first owner” status (player was found by club's scouts).Increase scouted players’ bonus in the restricted market. As for some (mostly TOP level) talents extension prices will be higher, we plan to increase scouted players’ bonus in restricted market by additional 5%Change how salaries in early extension are calculated. We used to calculate different salaries for each season. For young players the long term salaries sometimes cost a lot and for old players they were even smaller compared to short-term contracts. From now, salary will not depend on contract length. In addition, there will be a discount for scouted players when extending the contract for a minimum period (two seasons).
