Students determine which “item” from a selection is the odd one out. I like it when you have items where all of them could be the odd one out for different reasons and students have to justify reasons why each is the odd one out, showing deep understanding of subject concepts. Items could be numbers/equations (maths), scientific apparatus (science), electronic devices (computer science), words (language)... Students can also create their own examples of items where each must be potentially the odd one out for different reasons.
