Methods In this study, 54 patients diagnosed with BKV were treated with OPT combined with hormone therapy. Before treatment, 2wk, 4wk and 8wk after treatment, subjective symptoms, eyelid margin morphology, meibomian gland secretion traits, and corneal conjunctival lesions were included. And other aspects of clinical evaluation. Results After OPT treatment in 54 patients with BKC, all indexes were significantly lower than the previous one. The OSDI score decreased from (65.14 ± 18.56) points before treatment to (38.77 ± 15.13) points after treatment 2wk and (29.15 ± 17.42) after 4 weeks treatment Points, after 8wk (13.22 ± 11.57) points (P <0.05), the eyelid margin score decreased from before treatment (3.46 ± 0.71) to 2wk (1.87 ± 1.13) points, after 4wk (1.24 ± 0.81) points and 8wK (0.64 ± 0.56) points (P <0.05), the meibomian gland secretion trait decreased from (13.66 ± 1.82) points before treatment to (9.75 ± 2.32) points after 2wk, (7.55 ± 2.46) points after 4wk and 8wk The last (5.19 ± 2.51) points (P <0.05). After 2 weeks of treatment, 38 patients had corneal stroma infiltration and absorption, most of the ulcers healed, and neovascularization began to degenerate. 17 patients were cured, 21 were effective, and the total effective rate was 70.4%. After 4 weeks of treatment, all patients had no hyperemia of the eyelid margin, conjunctival hyperemia disappeared, corneal infiltration and absorption, ulcer healing, scar formation, and neovascularization subsided. The cure rate reached 100%. No complications such as skin lesions occurred in the course of all patients. Conclusion OPT can be used as an effective physical therapy for BKC. <br>Keywords: blepharitis-related corneal conjunctival disease; optimized intense pulsed light; corticosteroids
