CSP system was assembled as reported in Fig. 1. For the heating system a brass block was used (with a thermal conductivity of 96 kcal/m °C [29]),in which two electrically powered resistors were inserted allowing a homogeneous heating, while a thermocouple was connected to a temperature controller (Eurotherm 0316). A through hole was made in the brass block, inside which a cylindrical stainless steel jacket was inserted (with thermal conductivity of 19 kcal/m °C [29]) with a thickness of 2 mm and an internal diameter of 0.8 cm. Finally, two steel cylinders were inserted into the jacket, the first one at the top acting as a piston and the second at the bottom as support base for the powders. The reduced dimensions of the system allowed the use of a common uniaxial hydraulic press.
