These baluns selected by Silicon Labs are 50 Ω:50 Ω baluns. As shown in Figure 2.2 General Topology of sub-GHZ RF Match on page3, the balun is followed by a circuit block that provides an impedance transformation function. While it may prove possible to select abalun that provides a different impedance transformation ratio (e.g., 50 Ω:125 Ω), thus simplifying the subsequent impedance transformationblock, Silicon Labs has not yet investigated this matching approach.
