This study aims to propose the peer scaffolding method on English reading in EFL class. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to investigate the types and functions of peer scaffolding during the group interaction and achieve an effective understanding about peer scaffolding. The ultimate purpose of the study is to find a proper way to put peer scaffolding into use in English reading classes, to justify that reading learners can benefit from the peers’ assistance during the interaction.study hopes to promote the application of peer scaffolding in college English reading class, and improve students’ reading ability. Of course, this study hopes to provide some insights into the teaching practice of college English reading teachers and help them to further explore the subject.
