As a typical metal nanomaterial, platinum nanoparticle has good selectivity, stability and conductivity, as well as strong anti oxygen and electrocatalytic ability, which plays an important role in electrochemistry. The surface area of the electrode can be increased and the activity of electrocatalytic oxidation can be enhanced after the nanoparticles are modified on the surface of the electrode. In this paper, the common methods of preparing Q nanoparticles modified electrode, such as electrodeposition, ultrasonic electrodeposition, step functions electrodeposition, drill lead electrodeposition, chemical in situ one-step reduction and potentiostatic method, are discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are compared, The applications of nanoparticle modified electrode in biological detection, chemical detection and life were summarized.<br>
