This study focused on the sleep quality of shift-work nurses andestablished a basic understanding of a strategy to measure and improvetheir sleep quality. The results showed that there are insufficient specialized instruments to examine the sleep habits and characteristics ofshift workers. Furthermore, although aromatherapy is often applied as anon-drug intervention, the effect was small; there have been no reportsof a separate intervention for changes in the work pattern or for theprevention or alleviation of sleep disorders.
