The N2 adsorption measurement in Fig. 2 shows a type I isotherm. The increase in the volume adsorbed at very low relative pressures is due to the presence of micropores; while a second uptake at high relative pressure indicates existence of textural meso/macroporosity formed by packing of nanoparticles. The microporous volume is about 0.31 cm3/ g, and the BET and Langmuir surface areas are 1079 and1173 m2/ g, respectively. The BET surface area is very close to the values that were reported from those ZIF-8 samples prepared at room temperature.18,21,22
