Given the heterogeneity of patient and tumor factors, there has been great interestin developing prognostic nomograms and scoring systems for prediction ofsurvival to assist in decision-making. The Peritoneal Surface Disease SeverityScore (PSDSS) was introduced by Pelz et al. and developed by theAmerican Society of Peritoneal Surface Malignancies . The PSDSS represents abasis of stratifying patients according to the severity of their peritoneal diseasescored on a 3-point scale that consists of three prognostic factors: clinical symptoms, preoperative CT scan-based PCI score, lymph node status, and histologicalsubtype (Table 2)
