Scanning spacing refers to the distance between adjacent scanning lines during forming. The setting of scanning spacing is closely related to the width of the single channel pool. The ratio of the remelting widths of the two scan lines to the widths of the single bath is called the lap rate. Lap rate directly affects the quality of stamping forming, overlapping rate is smaller, the scanning interval is larger, the way and way of molten pool overlap part is too small, the laser energy input is small, the powder particles melt effect is poor, the molten pool is not smooth surface roughness, molten pool morphology is poor, if overlapping rate is too small, can also lead to pool not good lap and clearance; If the lapping rate is large and the scanning interval is small, the molten pool has a good morphology, but the forming speed is slow. The larger the lapping rate is, the slower the forming speed will be. Moreover, if the lapping rate is too large, some materials will fail to form due to the large laser energy density. Therefore, it is very important to select the appropriate scanning spacing, that is, the lap rate, for the forming process.
