Stage 8 Late adulthood (60后) integrity vs despair According to Erikson's theory, only those who look back on their lives and feel that they have spent a rich, creative and happy life will not be afraid of death. This person has a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.these individuals will attain wisdom ,even when confronting death. Those who look back and frustrate their lives experience disappointment, bitterness and despair. It may seem strange, but people who experience disappointment do not dare to face death as those who experience satisfaction, because the former has not achieved any major goal in their life. The eight stages are not only related to each other in turn, but also directly related to the first stage. In other words, the eight stages are interrelated in a circular form.
