Calculation of physical properties (i.e. electric and elastic properties) as a function ofwater saturation of porous media can be easily conducted numerically. A simple saturation scheme applied to digital porous media images can produce quite reasonable results showing the change of physical properties due to water saturation. It seems that the shape of basic grains have only very small in fluence on the resistivity as a function of water saturation. Some model shows similar trend as experiment data, it is however not all models can fit the experiment data. Measurement of resistivity as a function of saturation of Berea sandstone conducted by Attia [12] can be fitted nicely by models and FEM. Experiment data carried out by Knight [4] cannot however be explained easily with models especially the imbibition processes close to full saturation where resistivity increases after decreases in the lower saturation. More advanced numerical modeling may be carried out to investigate more detail in fl uence of pore structure to physical properties.
