In this paper, in order to study the influence of flow field plates on the pressure drop and cost of the PEMFC, a novel flow field plate is designed. In theory, the finite volume method is used to analyze the influence of the fuel cell flow field plate on the pressure drop. In technology, flow field plates are optimally designed according to the intelligent manufacturing technology, and a novel flow field plate is manufactured. In application, the novel flow field plate is tested and compared with other types of flow field plates according to the voltage-current characteristic of the PEMFC. Meanwhile, a synthesis analytic method is used to compare and analyze the cost of different PEMFCs. Consequently, the research in this paper is the theoretical basis and technical reserve for the futureresearch of flow field plates and the commercialization of the PEMFC.
