FGF21 has attracted enormous consideration for its thera peutic potentials due to its anti-infammatory, immunoregu latory roles and the strong infuence it exerts on metabolism without displaying the proliferative activities of other FGFs. Within a decade, much research has been done postulating and testing the efficacy of FGF21 and its analogs in modulating some chronic diseases together with other factors such as aging which can contribute to the risk of these diseases.
