As a combustion diagnostic technique, deflection tomography with Moirétechnology is known for its simple devices, wide temperature measurement range, and low requirement for mechanical stability; thus, it is considered suitable for measurements of high-temperature and high- speed flow fields. The temperature distributions of many types of flames have been measured and visualised using deflection tomography [17–19] . Therefore, combination of deflection tomography with the latest PIV to realise simultaneous measurement of temperature and velocity is a potential multi-parameter measurement method for combustion analysis.
