Petro Rabigh, a joint-venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, continues to keep its 600,000 mt/year monoethylene glycol unit at Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, shut since late August for a maintenance, a source close to the company said Sept. 18. Saudi Aramco couldn't be reached, while Sumitomo Chemical declined to comment. Petro Rabigh plans to start the plant in October, with further confirmation expected closer to the date, sources said.
