Won et al. [4] studied a microchannel reactor consisting of two microchannel plates 80 mm in length and 35.5 mm in width, containing 10 channels with the cross-section of 1.0 0.5 mm, the walls of which were covered with a catalyst. One microchannel plate with a catalyst Pt/ZrO was used for the catalytic combustion of methanol. The second plate, with a catalyst Cu/ZnO/Al2O3, was used for the methanol steam reforming (MSR). Using this reactor, authors managed to obtain the hydrogen yield of 9 L/h at 270 ℃ and at the methanol consumption of 4.9 mL/h. Ref. [5] presents simulation results for the methanol steam reforming proceededin a microchannel reactor (a tube 0.7 mm in diameter and 20 mm in length).
