Medical procedure
Cauterization
Burning or freezing a part of the body to remove tissue or stop bleeding. For example, to seal off a wound and prevent blood loss.
Rubber band ligation
Tying off a dilated or bleeding blood vessel with a rubber band to block its blood supply. This causes it to dry up and fall off.
Freezing
Using extreme cold during surgery or medical treatment.
Sclerotherapy
Injecting a salt water solution into abnormal blood vessels or tissues. This causes them to collapse and fade away.
Stapled hemorrhoidopexy
Surgical removal of enlarged hemorrhoids. The remaining haemorrhoidal tissue is then stapled back into place.
Surgical options
Traditional external stripping and internal ligation, do not recommend injection of sclerosing agent, will cause trouble for future treatment.
Possible PPH or RPH for severe mixed hemorrhoids with rectal mucosal prolapseRecommendation for severe bleeding PPH
