4.8. Scrubber drains Waste Water Treatment PlantThe high salt content IPW effluents described above are treated in the scrubber drains WWTP.The scrubber drain WWTP is designed with:o An acid effluent neutralization tank, fed with NaOH, for the acid scrubber drain;o A neutral effluent oxidation tank, fed with compressed air, for the neutral scrubber drain;o A pH adjusting tank, fed with NaOH and HCl;o A coagulation/flocculation tank, fed with PAC and PAM and sulfidic reagent;o A sedimentation tank, for liquid and sludge separation. From this sedimentation tank:▪ The liquid fraction is further pumped into a final pH adjustment tank before dischargeto Jingyu network.▪ The sludge fraction is pumped to the sludge storage tank and then to the press filterfor sludge concentration. Recovered water from the filter press is sentto the IPWnetwork, and recirculated again in the WWTP, while recovered sludge is extractedand stored.Control analysis of the wastewater is done before discharging to Jingyu network.4.9. Storage of Polluted Water from Fire FightingIn case of pollution detection (by the analyzers), an automatic valve isolates final discharge pipe and re-routesthe polluted water to the safety pit SP27003 (storage capacity 2000m 3 ).This automatic valve can be activated by:o Pollution detection by the analyzers;o Operator request;o Fire detection.The Operator will follow the internal procedure regarding the polluted water management.
