Siemens motor is designed for converter-operation only. DOL starting is not possible. Please find the attached wiring diagram of Siemens motor and arrange wiring connection for converter-operation. If starting up the motor in DOL, motor will operate at 960rpm. Then, the pump will be destroyed as pump design operating speed is 495rpm.The max. allowable operating speed limit of KSB sea water intake pump PNZ A 14-101/1 is 515rpm.To protect the pump failure in case of malfunction of Variable Frequency Converter, speed limiter (encoder) will be added for each motor to cap the operating speed of motor at 495rpm+2% tolerance = 505rpm. At the moment, CEM has below request regarding motor information. Please help reply below.1. As mentioned in the Page 52 motor manual, it is required to have two lifting beams or crane trolleys for motor installation. lease ask JV/KSB/Siemens the use of crane trolley and provision of special tools, as to be complied with Part. Req. Section 20.1.4.9; Please advise if we will have two cranes at site for pump and motor installation. 2. Please find the attached encoder and speed limiter information.Please arrange the encoder signal to VFD and advise if the analogic speed signal will be fed from the speed limiter to respective VSD.
