Gear system is an essential link and power transmission link in mechanical equipment, and its operation state is related to the normal operation of the whole mechanical equipment. The research on Fault Diagnosis Technology of gear train is of great significance to ensure the normal operation of mechanical equipment.In this paper, the dynamic model of gear pair is analyzed, the dynamic equation of gear pair is established, and the change of stiffness is analyzed theoretically. On this basis, the stiffness changes of gear teeth with different cracks are analyzed by MATLAB, which provides the basis for the next step of fault diagnosis. In the second part of the paper, the time domain diagram and frequency domain diagram of gear crack fault are given. Finally, the effectiveness of the three indicators in fault evaluation is analyzed, and the conclusion is drawn that kurtosis and effective value have good effect in the early detection of fault diagnosis.
