Hydraulic system working pressure shall, be kept below 140 kg/cm2 (2,000 psi). Hydraulic pumps shall be mounted in a manner that there is always a positive suction head. Flexible hydraulic hoses shall have JIC fittings. Hoses shall be used where flexibility is required and on the spreader. The overall length, pressure rating and type of end fitting of every hose used shall be clearly specified in the parts catalogue of the crane.Hydraulic piping shall be flared (37 degree) at the ends and connected by JIC (37 degrees) fittings. Hydraulic piping shall be used on rigid structures but not on the spreader. All hydraulic piping and hoses shall be securely clamped at appropriate intervals. Criss-crossing of hoses and piping shall be avoided as far as possible. Connections to valve shall be in NPT or SAE threads. Solenoids of hydraulic values shall be high power type that can withstand high inrush current of 200 VA. Every solenoid shall be earthed. Hydraulic unit compartments shall be robustly constructed. The relevant hydraulic line distribution schematic drawing shall be prominently displayed on the inside surface of compartment's door. The drawings shall be engraved and permanently mounted. One of the following brands of components shall be used in the Hydraulic system:
