After 1950 the CO2 emission due to fossil fuel has increased rapidly. After 2000, the CO2 emission has crossed 10000 million tons. Thus, fossil fuel usage has a detrimental effect on the environment such as greenhouse gas emission, air pollution, water and soil contamination and recent climate change. The enhanced use of fossil fuel increases the amount of CO2 emission which is responsible for global warming. A cumulative total of 420 billion tons of CO2 were emitted between 2000 and 2011.
