Reading is the key and difficult point in middle school English learning. Reading plays an irreplaceable role in promoting students' language ability, and directly affects the development of other language skills such as listening, speaking and writing. Therefore, many experiments explore feasible methods from different teaching ideas and methods to cultivate students' reading ability. On the basis of comprehensible input, content-based teaching method organically integrates content learning and language skills. It has become the focus of English reading teaching research, but its application in middle schools is not much. Therefore, this paper attempts to demonstrate the feasibility of applying content-based teaching method to English reading teaching in middle schools.
