Conclusion and SuggestionsStudy findings demonstrate that the renal transplant recipients in this study had a moderate level of QOL. Social support, symptom distress, age, employment status, and household income were the significant factors that influ-enced QOL for these renal transplant recipients. Clini-cally, medical personnel can enhance QOL by increasing patients’ social support. This includes providing support by giving patients the information they need to under-stand their disease and treatment, and teaching/assisting family members in giving support. Medical personnel also can actively implement strategies to decrease symp-tom distress.
