Centrifugal pump is the most widely used general machinery in all fields of national economy. However, centrifugal pump should be filled with water before use, and the suction range is generally not high, which restricts the development of centrifugal pump. Based on this, a new type of vacuum centrifugal pump is designed, which is composed of a rotary vane type vacuum pump and a centrifugal pump. The rotary vane type vacuum pump is used for vacuumizing, and the atmospheric pressure pushes water into the centrifugal pump, and then the centrifugal pump is used for draining water to achieve the purpose of pumping water. In this paper, the structure of the new vacuum centrifugal pump is designed, its working principle is expounded, the feasibility of the new vacuum centrifugal pump is analyzed, the typical components of the new vacuum centrifugal pump are selected, and the experimental verification is carried out. The results show that the design of the new vacuum centrifugal pump is feasible, it avoids the trouble of pouring water, has the advantages of convenient operation and high degree of automation, improves the suction range and working efficiency of the pump, and provides the experimental basis for the application of the pump.
