The trapped particles play an important role in the characteristics of cocurrent moving bed filter. In this study, two kinds of trapped particles with similar average particle size but different particle size distribution were evaluated. The particle size distribution of trapped particles is the main factor affecting the porosity of the filter membrane, and the porosity is the key structural parameter of the filter membrane, which affects the filtration performance of the filter membrane. The cold model experiment of MBGF-CF shows that under the same operating conditions, the filtering performance of the filter is the same even if two different kinds of trapped particles are used. The application of low superficial gas velocity or low particle moving velocity has significant synergistic effect on filtration efficiency. It is also found that the collection efficiency of MBGF-CF is the highest when the apparent gas velocity is 0.126m/s and the particle moving velocity is 2.05 mm/s.
