This paper mainly studies the reaction process of soybean oil and palm oil and methanol to use NaOH as a catalyst for ester exchange to prepare biodiesel. The effects of operating conditions such as catalyst dosage, stirring speed, reaction time and reaction temperature on soybean oil and palm oil ester exchange reaction were studied by single-factor experiments, and the conversion rate of raw oil of different reaction factors and the yield of biodiesel were detected by gas chromatograph. Through experiments, the better conditions for soybean oil ester exchange reaction were: 1.1% of the catalyst, 400 rpm of stirring, 60 min reaction time, reaction temperature of 60 degrees C, the better conditions of palm oil ester exchange reaction were: 0.5% of the catalyst, 700 rpm of stirring speed, reaction time of 60 min, reaction temperature of 50 degrees C.<br>Keywords: soybean oil; palm oil; homogenous naOH catalyst; ester exchange reaction; biodiesel
