In this study, coaxial electrospinning technology was used to incorporate ASTA into the core-shell nanofiber membrane, and a good sustained-release effect was obtained. Within 24 hours, the release rates of ASTA in Coaxial-0.1GO group and Coaxial-0.5GO group were only 13.49% and 10.71%; after 7 days, they reached 29.26% and 27.78%, respectively. This may be attributed to the introduction of the core-shell structure. Due to the physical barrier effect of the shell, the drug molecules encapsulated in the core layer cannot directly diffuse into the solution medium. With the continuous degradation of the shell layer, the drug in the core layer is gradually released. Thereby a sustained release is achieved.
