At present, there are many kinds of preparation methods of nano gold materials that have been studied, but in general, they are not only physical and chemical methods, but also green comprehensive methods. Physical method is not widely used due to its many disadvantages. This paper also does not focus on the introduction, mainly including soft landing method, vacuum evaporation method, electrical dispersion method, laser-induced reducing technology, laser ablation method, etc. Compared with physical method, chemical method has many advantages. Different chemical methods are also briefly introduced, including sol method, crystal seed method, template method, reverse micelle method, phase transfer method and electrochemical method. In recent years, nano gold materials have penetrated into all fields of our lives. In this paper, the application progress of nano gold materials in cancer treatment, biosensor, food detection, immunoassay and nano medicine is introduced. In addition to these mentioned in this paper, nano gold materials have also been applied in more other fields. It can be predicted that, based on many unique properties of nano gold materials, there is still a lot of room for development in future science and technology and life. We can conduct more in-depth and thorough research on it, solve some problems in the application of nano gold materials, so that the gold nano materials can better serve human production and life.<br>
