On this basis, this paper makes a general analysis of the impact of the new urbanization on economic growth and its specific mechanism from both theoretical and empirical aspects. The results of the theoretical analysis show that the new type of urbanization can promote the overall economic growth through four mechanisms: consumption change, industrial structure upgrading, narrowing of urban and rural income gap and increasing public service supply. However, there are significant differences in its specific path of action. Increased consumption will directly promote economic growth, while the impact of industrial restructuring, narrowing of urban-rural income gap and increased public service supply on economic growth may be non-linear. But no matter which mechanism, the new urbanization can theoretically promote economic growth. The estimation results of the further time series model and panel data model validate this theoretical proposition. On the one hand, the difference between the new urbanization and economic growth is the Reason of Granger, and the influence of the new urbanization on economic growth is greater than that of the economic growth on the new urbanization, and the new urbanization, which is lagging one period and the lag of four periods, can significantly promote the growth. On the other hand, the impact of economic growth in the first period of lag on the new urbanization is not significant, on the other hand, after adding the relevant control variables, the estimation results of the panel data show that the new urbanization is indeed an important cause of economic growth, and this positive role of promoting the differences between time and space. Specifically, the new urbanization for the economic growth of the eastern region is the most obvious, the central region is second to the western region is the smallest. At the same time, with the passage of time, the impact of new urbanization on economic growth shows a trend of reverse U-shaped change safters rising and then falling.<br>Subsequently, this paper makes a systematic analysis of the four mechanisms of the new urbanization affecting economic growth, which is also the main innovation of this paper.
