Exception No. 2: As an alternative to the clearance values outlined in the Standard for Information Technology Equipment – Safety – Part 1: General Requirements, UL 60950-1, the clause for Clearances, Creepage Distances and Distances Through Insulation, the alternative method for determining minimum clearances in the Annex for Alternative Method for Determining Minimum Clearances, Annex G, of the Standard for Information Technology Equipment – Safety -Part 1: General Requirements, UL 60950-1 may be applied.Exception No. 3: As an alternative to these spacing requirements, the spacing requirements of Table 5.1 may be applied instead. When using this table, maximum working voltages of circuits can be determined through the test of Section 21. See the note in Table 5.1 regarding adjustment for spacings where double or reinforced insulation is required.
