The Patriarch Hall was originally built in Jin and was originally named Dongtian Temple. The existing hall was built during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty to enshrine Emperor Zhenwu and Sanfeng Patriarch, so it is also called Zhenwu Palace.
