禅门第一品人，触着便了，更无余事，夙具灵根，如时雨化；第二品人，直下不疑，深藏密养，直待瓜熟蒂落，大用现前，龙天推出，任运利生；第三品人，具大疑愤，如杀父怨，判尽平生，究明此事。念佛第一品人，顿悟自心是佛，念念圆明；第二品人，深信自心作佛，念念入理；第三品人，深信佛力无量，念念灭恶。此复四种：谓念佛自性、念佛相好功德、念佛名号、念佛形像。此四各通三品也。教观第一品人，创闻圆理，顿发初心，成正觉于刹那，示八相于百界；第二品人，信一境三谛，净生身六根，伏住地无明，摧见思尘垢；第三品人，发圆觉于闻经，修五品之观行，习三观以成熏，伏五住而趣觉。

The first person of Zen has nothing to do but touch it. He has a spiritual root, which is like the rain of time. The second person has no doubt about it. He keeps it in secret until it is ripe and ready to use it. The third person has great doubt and indignation, such as killing his father. He decides his whole life and finds out about it. The first person who chants Buddhism suddenly realizes that his heart is Buddha and that he is full of wisdom. The second person believes that he is a Buddha and that he is in reason. The third person believes that he has boundless power and that he can eliminate evil. There are four kinds: self nature of chanting Buddha, merits and virtues of chanting Buddha, name of chanting Buddha and image of chanting Buddha. Each of the four links has three products. To teach and observe the first grade people, we should create and hear the truth, develop the original mind, and become the right consciousness in an instant, showing the eight elements in the hundred realms; to teach and observe the second grade people, we should believe in the three truths of one realm, purify the six roots of the body, live in ignorance and destroy the dust of thinking; to teach and observe the third grade people, we should develop the sense of perfection in listening to the Scriptures, cultivate the five grade view and practice, and learn the three views to become smoked, and live in the five grades to become interesting.<br>
