The Doner and Hickts (1981) method with slight modifi- cationswas used to analyze the Vitamin C content. A volume of 50 mL of 5% metaphosphoric acid solution was added into 1 g of Asian pear juice powder and stirred for 30 min at room temperature. The solution was centrifuged at 2016 RCF (g) for 15 min and the supernatant filteredthrough a 0.45-lm PVDF syringe and then injected to theHigh performance liquid chromatography columns (HPLC;
