4) AudioIf there’s one piece of advice I can give, it’s having good audio. Great audio can outweigh bad video, but not vice versa. Find yourself a quiet room to film in and the sound quality should be okay! If you want to up your game even more, here’s a recommendation for a relatively cheap but high-quality lavaliere mic for smartphones (plus optional extension cord and lightning adapter)5) Film in HD or 4K in 30fps (if possible)Refer to the camera settings in your camera to see what recording options you have. You can record in either HD or 4K at 30fps preferably. I wouldn’t recommend anything lower than 720p resolution. 6) FramingThere are a bunch of filmmaking rules I could bore you with – but I’ll limit to just one. Frame yourself using the rule of thirds. Eyes should be in the upper third of the frame and your subject should be where the lines overlap. Be mindful to leave a little space between the top of the frame and the top of your subject’s head – called headroom (be like Jim Halpert below).
